14 weeks :)
it hasn't been easy sailing for me. the bouts with nausea, the migraines and nasal congestions were just unpleasant to say the least. there was even a lost weekend when i was stuck in bed from saturday morning to monday afternoon because i was battling my epic migraine. i couldn't drink my usual medicines so i just had to bear it. hay!
but i'm glad that my mom's always there for me making sure that i'm eating and that i'm hydrated and gino's been my official blood pressure checker. dan has been my nurse making sure my ice packs are always fresh and cold. thank god for blue ice, even if they would always leave a blue stain on my forehead after hours of using them.
i'm feeling much better now though, the nausea has subsided but it's not completely gone. i've relied on these to help me get through those days when they just become unbearable:

sugar-free mints from marks & spencer
aside from these, i've been taking vitamins and supplements since my 8th week, which was our first visit to the OB.

my drugs: calvit (Calcium supplements, apparently women lose bone matter when they stop having their monthly visits), folart (folic acid for the bb and natalwiz maternity vitamins). i need to take one of each daily. good thing they're not that expensive, 21 pcs of each of the natalwiz and folart cost less than 300 peysus.
dan and i have also bought "implements" for my bulging belly. i'm still too small to wear maternity pants and i can still fit into my regular jeans (not the skinnies though, boo!) so we bought these belly belts from havingababy. i've been using these and have been really helpful. another thing are the bra extenders (yes bra exteeeeendeeers..., i won't elaborate, let's just say my cups have never worked so hard). last but not least is the big bottle of cocoa butter. i am predisposed to stretch marks (i've had some since high school, growth spurt i think, believe it or not) so this lotion is supposed to prevent the inevitable :P

side plugging, i bought the lotion at pcx at rockwell when i saw one of my favorite toiletry brands ever, the carmex lip gloss! i've been buying the pots (pictured at the left) eversince i've been going to the US. they're really good on chapped lips and don't evaporate fast. the last time i bought a pot was at a fancy pharmacy near my hotel in melbourne and it cost me A$5! these things usually cost just US$0.99! the carmex at pcx cost a very reasonable Php80 :) sarap nya gamitin!

i pray that the rest of the months would only get better :) hear that smalls? hehe.
oo nga pala, jason mraz's cd is now out locally, they're sold for Php450. i saw his tour sked he's going to Australia, Japan, Singapore, Korea....walang Philippines! Can someone bring him over pleaaase???

took this pic during his press conference at the discovery suites, ortigas, 2006. ang tagal na ha. (i will forever be grateful to jo for this chance!)
happy weekend!
